The Torah teachers continue the study of the Book of Second Kings into chapter 23, and more on the times of King Josiah of Judah, following the ‘re-discovery’ of the Torah scroll at that time.

But it’s the parallels with today that should prove most interesting, not to mention dramatic. Evidently, though, the leadership in that era had the good sense to be terrified at the consequences for their idolatry, given what they were reading.
