The Bride of Christ is seen clothed in light and standing on the moon in Revelation 12. It means she has a lunar understanding of God’s calendar in Exodus 12:2 where the thin crescent moon (word chodesh found three times in that verse) signals the beginning of the month.
Early American’s understood the sea beast in Revelation 13 as the papacy and some saw the land beast as the US with two horns but no crowns–a church without a pope and a government without a king–Protestant America.
