At the start of the 2016 Feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread that was hosted by MTOI, Rabbi Steve Berkson brings a refreshing perspective on the Exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt.
After passing through the waters of the sea, the Children of Israel began a journey together to become a nation specifically chosen by the Almighty Creator to be His prize possession and to be a light to the world. Making the change from being slaves to Egypt to being servants of the Most High, they learned to love, obey and fear their Elohim with all their heart, soul and strength. YHWH allowed them to go through the wilderness to humble them and test them to see what was in their heart, whether they would fear Him and obey His commandments or not. YHWH fed them, gave them water, and clothed them – the people experienced His provision.
That journey continues to this day as we walk the path, much like the ancient Hebrews did, learning to live with each other until we reach the Forever Kingdom.
