Love and Torah – what’s love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor.
Returning to the letter of 1 John, Rabbi Steve Berkson begins this teaching in chapter 3. He proclaims how wonderful it is that Yahweh is pleased to call us His children. Rabbi Berkson goes on to say that because the world does not understand Yahweh, it will not understand us either. But we understand Yahweh because He has chosen to reveal Himself to us by opening our eyes and ears. The day is coming when the Messiah appears. We will understand completely, as John puts it, because we shall be like Him.
Rabbi Berkson once again dissects these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yahweh expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings.
