Audio reading:  Isaiah 19: 1-21:17, Gal 2:1-16, Prov 23:13-14

I understand that this is a Hebrew roots listening audience. The title to today’s lesson may sound very radical.
After all, we are in this movement because we want to follow and obey the Torah, right?

So if the title of this lesson rubs your fur wrong, just remember this: these are not my words: they are the words of the Apostle Paul:

..knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. Galatians 2:16

We are under the NEW COVENANT in following Yeshua, not the OLD COVENANT under Moses. We are not saved by doing works of the law. We are saved by GRACE, it is the gift of God, so no one can boast!

New Heart – New Covenant:

“But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Jeremiah 31:33

Saved by Grace, not by Works:

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8
