Tony A’s 12 Steps of Recovery
This is the beginning of a series I am doing with a close friend of mine. Grace and I grew up together in Upstate New York back in the 60’s and 60’s. Unbeknownst to us, we were both experiencing childhood abuse and became traumatized. As a result of those experiences, we both turned to drugs, booze and men to soothe the shame and pain. We were partners in crime for a season of our early teen years, then parted ways for many years. Several years ago, we were reunited. In that time of becoming reacquainted, we were flabbergasted to find out the path we were both on led to our Fathers heart!
I introduced my childhood friend to Al Anon and then to Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families…here she found a home, along side of me and others.
We now unite to bring to you our experience strength and hope…
