Parsha “Vayikra” (Leviticus chapters 1 through 5) — because it’s the first in the Book — thus shares the name, and is certainly one of those challenges that, let’s fact it, much of “xtianity” would prefer to ignore. And it starts of with a bunch of ‘sacrifices,’ besides. Which, as Mark Call points out in this two-part look, isn’t even the right Hebrew word; these are offerings (korban) rather than the root word ‘tzebach.’

But why does that matter? Because how can people who don’t even understand “Torah 101” about that difference then grasp the real significance of what Yahushua actually DID…much less why it has never been more important to us?

The Erev Shabbat overview of the whole parsha :

Another warning for the Sabbath teaching this week. Those who prefer the paganism associated with spring fertility rites, and “bunnies and eggs” to His Truth will no doubt take offense at this one, in particular. Just as He also warned.

But there is a bigger warning here as well. Most of the ‘boring sacrifice stuff’ that we’ve been lied to about has another characteristic that the Whore Church likes to overlook: it’s all about “unintentional sin.” But the claim that “I didn’t KNOW any better,” only works once. When people KEEP doing that which He says NOT to do, the claim that it was done in ignorance wears thin.

Because once we come to a “knowledge of the Truth” – it can’t be unseen, and there are no more excuses.
