Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship for a two-part look at parsha Vayakhel (Exodus 35:1-38:20). Can “stiff-necked” people who just narrowly escaped death learn from experience?

The same “flashing red neon sign” – is still flashing.

First, the Erev Shabbat overview:
(with a special thanks to ‘Whistler’ for the backup copy!)

On a week where the world stands literally on the brink of World War III, and a level of destruction unlike any before even possible in human history, the parallels between the situation then and now are striking. And so are the contrasts.

During the Sabbath Day teaching, Mark takes at the repeated theme of the parsha, which should strike to the very core of what is so wrong with the world today.

Those with a “willing heart” – over and over and OVER again – who evidently KNEW just how close they had come to death, and why, came together to build something for Him. And there is “wisdom” in those actions, and those hearts. Something the people whose rebellion before Yahuah very nearly got them all destroyed knew it. Today, the vast majority are clueless.
