King Hezekiah comes under intense Psychological warfare from the invading King Sennacherib. This invading King tells the people:
“Dont let Hezekiah deceive you. He will never be able to rescue you from my power. Don’t let him fool you into trusting in the LORD by saying: “The LORD will surely rescue us. This city (Jerusalem) will never fall into the hands of the Assyrian King.” 2 Kings 18:29-30
How did Hezekiah handle this intense Psy op? What did he do? This age old battle tactic is still used today. Do you recognize it? How does it display in the mainstream media? King Josiah discovers the Torah scroll buried in the rubble of the Temple. He reads it, and then rips his robes in repentance. He then begins to tear down all the Asherah poles, the places of Baal worship and he cleanses his kingdom from these detestable idols.
The scripture says:
“Never before had there been a King like Josiah, who turned to the LORD with all his heart, and soul, and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. And there has never been a king like him since.” 2 Kings 23:25
