PART FOUR of a multi-part series tackling the subject of what the Bible calls food and asking the question, are we as believers in Yeshua permitted to eat biblically unclean foods such as pork, shellfish, and the forbidden foods of Leviticus chapter 11 and Deuteronomy chapter 14?
On this episode of Real Israel Talk Radio, we will speak about eating physical food on earth; that is represents a metaphor to explain that there is also the eating of spiritual food in Heaven. This follows the teaching of Yeshua who showed us how to pray saying, “Our Father who is in Heaven…your will be done on Earth AS IT IS in Heaven.” Thus, in all of our eating for physical sustenance, there should be an inseparable and linked connection between Heaven and Earth; that both Heaven and Earth must witness Truth in us. If our witness on earth breaks the witness in Heaven then we are living according to a lie and not according to truth.
With PART FOUR of this biblical study series, we will speak about the Hebrew term “l’briut” coming from a Hebrew root that means “to a covenant.” We will learn about covenants and food and how they are connected taking Revelation 3:20 into consideration, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone opens the door, I will dine with him and he with me.”
On this fourth podcast in the series, Why I Exchanged Salami For Pastrami, Suzanne and I will walk you through the biblical idea of making food choices that reflect our spiritual covenant with Messiah on Earth as it is in Heaven; walking out Heaven’s realities through Earth’s metaphors.
Join us for this episode 035 of Real Israel Talk Radio, Season 2020 on the Torah food diet, which is about the food that we eat on Earth as it is supposed to reflect the food that eat (and will eat) in Heaven.
