Unlike the Judean Pharisees, many groups and communities among the Sectarians of ancient Israel including the Qumran communities in the regions of the Dead Sea, as well as many among the Galileans in the north of Israel, they adopted a more ancient and biblical view of figuring time; that of the more biblical sunrise to sunrise reckoning. In biblical days, night-time was always understood as a different day compared to the arrival of the morning sunrise.
