The Rapture in Christian theology and briefly spoken about within the context of biblical Hope. The English term “Hope” is given to us from its Hebrew counterpart Tikvah (as in the Israeli national anthem HaTikvah) which is derived from the Hebrew root letters Quf Vav Heh meaning to wait on Yehovah with expectation. The one thing that we are still waiting for Yehovah to finish is in what he started in his full redemption story; that of transporting us into a perfect and blameless state of eternal life through His promised Last Day (Seventh-Day) Great resurrection.
