S2E9 – KADOSH SHACHAH – HOLY WORSHIP – VOCALS part 2 (Rebroadcast)

This podcast examines the means by which vocal phrasicng in the middle east gave rise to the different cultural approaches to Hebrew vocal music for Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Western, and Egyptian worshipers. Examining the tonal linguistics of Hebrew in comparrison to another eastern language, Chinese. In so doing, we hear clearly the ornimentation and grace notes flow expressions and improvisation inbetween the consenant phrasing of eastern notation where the vowels rise, fall, and trill to give character distinction between cultural use. Finally Robert gives vocal examples of such phrasing.

Robert Randall

Lving in Colorado Robert has had an avid love of music since he was five years of age. Much of his musical taste stems from Classical, Jazz, soundtrack, contemporary & alternative artists. Roberts style of music is a blend of different genres that can appeal to a wide audience instead of the typical musician who rises to prestige in one sole genre of music. Educated in classical and Jazz piano, Robert also has a robust vocal background as well as that of keyboards having sung in the Colorado Springs chorale & Colorado all state Choir for two years. Attending music school at Adams State University Robert graduated with a Bachelors in music. His career lead him to teach privately under his own business educating in piano performance, theory, and composition in classical, Jazz and contemporary genres. During that time he performed with the Colorado Legacy band and learned improvisation and composition methods from Grammy-Nominated, Steinway & Son's Jazz pianist Steve Barta. Today Robert has composed and published two albums. His debut "That Perfect Moment" has been heard globally on radio airplay. His second album "A Calssical Ba'Roke Musician" covers multiple genres from classical pianists from the Baroque to Romantic era. His next two albums will be easy- listening with background orchestration "Healing and Forgiveness" due out this summer. And an EP Jazz album with a unique lyrical feature titled "Ba'Ruqe Ha'Ta Ye'Ho'Vah". He has scored 3 films for With One Accord Ministries. Apart from teaching and recording Robert's latest project is host to a radio show called "Kadosh Shachah", meaning "Holy Worship" on Hebrew Nation Radio. A weekly show discussing musical instruments in the bible and the musical influence behind Hebrew and Greek cultures.
