While judgement was taking place in Jerusalem, Ezekiel was given visions and understanding of those things while he was in Babylon, and he shared them with those who were taken captive. Just like the prophet Hosea gave us Yahweh’s commentary on the fall of the House of Ephraim, Ezekiel gave us Yahweh’s commentary on the fall of Jerusalem and on the House of David.
