The first 11 chapters of Genesis, while packed with incredible stories and invaluable lessons, are merely an introduction to get us, the reader, to Abraham. Generation after generation are wrought with violence and failure. Then, we turn the page to Genesis 12 and meet Abram. He is a new Adam. He is the patriarch of Israel. And, he is new creation embodied.
