While there is certainly disagreement, historians suggest the average life of empires is about 336 years. They don’t necessarily end, however, with the ‘sacking of Rome’. Even in lesser nations, it’s often more gradual, such as in the case of Zimbabwe, North Korea, and now Venezuela.
Yet prophets in Scripture have warned consistently about the pattern. A pattern that is repeating now, for those with “eyes to see”.
The question is: will WE repeat their mistakes?
