As Moses prepares to go up to view the land before his death, he leaves instructions for Israel – “Those who are here today, and those who are not here,” I think that means everybody including you and me! He underscores the idea that by following God’s instructions and guidance written in the Torah we are promised Life and Blessings. If we choose our own way, there is death and cursing, and then he pleads – “Choose Life!” In David’s Psalm 119, he exhorts us to follow God’s Torah, teachings, way, commandments, word, precepts, statutes, instructions in almost every verse of this amazing Psalm. Our Heavenly Father has not planned to trick us nor does He stand there to throw lightning bolts at us if we step out of line. He wants us to be blessed and have abundant life and freedom. Follow in the path He has laid out for us to experience this wonderful life!
