Both Scripture and what might be called “traditional wisdom” have much to say about the importance of Truth, and the dangers of deception. Adolf Hitler, of course, in _Mein_Kampf_ (evil as he certainly was) nevertheless seems to have written the ‘playbook’ for the Big Lie that underlies much of the “New World Order,” or even Fourth Reich.
And the fact that those people who would call themselves obedient to “Him,” YHVH, the Author of Scripture, must still remember that the human heart is “deceitful above all…and desparately wicked.” (Jeremiah 17:9)
