In part 9 of To He Who Overcomes, Rabbi Steve Berkson continues with the subject of ‘Overcoming the Evil One (who wants to make you a liar)’ by connecting 1 John 2:9-11 with Luke 8:19-21 in order to define who is family according to Yeshua’s definition.

Then we move to the Gospel of John chapter 8 verse 28 to get some clarity on the real meaning of ‘discipleship.’ We will learn how to recognize the “language of discipleship.” Many think they understand and thus quote Yeshua, “and you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free”; but we do not really understand that this statement, profound as it is, hinges on one very important condition.
