Psalm 56 is a thank offering from David to our Heavenly Father for saving him from battle. He apparently made a vow during this event because he didn’t know whether he would come out alive or not. In this Psalm, David says he must fulfill his vow and bring a thank offering. It is a reminder of our need to present our thank offerings to our Heavenly Father for all that He has done for us. Yashua’s death on the cross literally saved each one of us from certain death. In this season of Thanksgiving, let us remember to bring our offerings of thanks to our Heavenly Father. Shalom.
