Calming Harp Episode #196

Psalm 23 is probably the most read and memorized Psalm of all time. At a funeral this past week I was meditating on the words, “Even though I walk through the valley of death,” and it seemed to me that David is not only addressing his current situation of running for his life from King Saul, but he is also looking forward to that day when he will “dwell in the house of the Lord forever. I believe that this Psalms gives us the assurance that this life has nothing to give us of lasting value. If we stay true to our Heavenly Father’s instructions, we have this sure promise of eternal life. How can the world offer us anything in comparison.
