This week focuses on Channukah – The Feast of Lights. In Psalms 37, David reminds us that God’s way is the way of light. Righteousness and light are companions. Evil and darkness are also companions. Channukah is also called the Feast of Dedication and commemorates the time when the Maccabees regained control of the temple from the Greeks and re-established the worship services to the living God of Israel. During this time, we are invited to re-dedicate our lives to the way of light and right living instead of the way of evil and darkness. There are only two choices: no middle ground. Choose you this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve our Heavenly Father.
