No doubt about it, Tyranny (with a Capital-T) is “on the march.”
And as always, the major events are a major topic of discussion, sometimes even agreement, on Drive Time Friday.
But underlying all that is the “tension” — especially when it comes to technology — between good and evil. Does “robotics” mean a utopian future where properly-obedient Eloi have UBI checks direct-deposited to their built in tracking phones while they watch Oprah and eat bon-bons, or is a Terminator-like “Skynet” technocracy more likely?
And there week, there’s “SAFIRE” to talk about as well. Is that clean, abundant energy source another “pie in the sky,” or is it real? And, perhaps more to the point, if it IS real, will the peons ever be allowed to benefit from it?
