Elul: A Testimony of Radical Forgiveness
This week, Sombra Wilson, wife and homeschooling mother of seven shared with Dr. Deb Wiley and Kisha Gallagher how she learned to forgive the unforgivable. The month of Elul is about much more than introspection and repentance. It is also about forgiveness. The Master said, “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25 NKJV)
But what if the person you need to forgive is one that you should have been able to trust the most as a child? What if physical and sexual abuse stole your innocence and left you as a wounded and broken young adult? What if this crippled your faith and ability to trust YHWH? Sadly, this is a common story. But there is HOPE! If you have been struggling with how to forgive extreme betrayal and abuse, or if you are desperately hurting with no seeming way to overcome the pain and trials of this life, please listen to Sombra’s testimony!
We truly serve the God of reconciliation! Sombra Wilson brings encouragement and reveals the steps that you can take to be set free. She also shares a recent scare that her daughter had with an internet predator, and how she and her husband are being intentional about ensuring that she doesn’t fall into the clutches of fear, unworthiness, and insecurity.
Also in this program, I (Kisha) share with Hebrew Nation what I’ve been up to, and why I’ve stepped down from the weekly show. I love Hebrew Nation and its listeners, and hope to periodically join Dr. Deb. Meanwhile, you can follow me at Grace in Torah.
