Wakeup! for June 8, 2017

Ron opened the program by reading Ezekiel 11:14-21; and Dan responded with Isaiah 44:5 —both affirming God’s promises to Israel.

Dan recounted (briefly) the story of his coming to faith: a car wreck, caused by drinking and driving… No DUI (so no article 15 discharge from the Air Force), but he was charged with reckless driving.

“The cop had mercy,” he says. “When I was patched up they sent me to a drug and alcohol class. Limping around the hallways; I stumbled on a box of books… I fished one out whose title appealed to me (I was a science-fiction fan): The Late Great Planet Earth, by Hal Lindsey. A guy told me, ‘That’s just a bunch of old books; you can have it.’

“I began to devour everything about the end times. I spent a lot of time on my knees, a lot of time in His Word. I was literally changed overnight. My friends and colleagues were stunned; I was, too.

“About 10 years ago, the Lord brought me back to these things.
I’m not fixated on it, but I’m very sensitive; I have a sense that we are seeing the end game play out—the final sands in the hourglass.”

Hebrew Nation founder Don Wyant joined the program for the last hour and a half.

After a brief discussion of politics, Dan Holdings said, “In the church, we were fed lies.,, It’s the same character flaw that was in the garden…

Don Wyant added: “It’s deeper than that… what happens is that we become part of the curse… we align with the curse, instead of the blessing.

“I’m still looking for that ‘pure and spotless generation’. There is a tool for getting rid of those things in your life… but it’s painful… you’re going to be humbled. He has to burn out the dross…”

Dan: “All the difficulties in your life are designed to get out the dross. We as a people do not want to die to ourselves… to be bondservants to the LORD… seek to please Him. There’s a common thread: when we cross over, the Father will use whatever means He can to bring us to seeking His face…”

Don: “In fact, we often do the things for ourselves, rather than for the King and His kingdom.”

Dan: “Yeshua said, ‘Where your treasure is, your heart will be also.’ What is this… our ‘treasure’ is not necessarily our stuff, is it?”

Don: “No, not at all… the whole point of having wealth or a ministry is to build the nation. The reason for having a job is to build the nation, the reason for having a family is building the nation. ‘Treasure’ can be anything… ‘where your treasure is, your heart will be also’… it means, ‘What are you doing for the kingdom?’

Dan: “Once I led a home group study. we taught about dying to self… One gentleman said, forcefully, ‘I’m nobody’s slave! I have rights!’ We consider it optional. It is optional to believe that Yeshua is Messiah; but having made that choice, the rest is not optional. Messiah’s ideal for us is that we walk with Him.”

Don added: “We’ve expressed how drastically dismal is the situation at Hebrew Nation. In the last fund-raiser, we needed $100,000; we raised $8,000. So Cindy and I are going back into secular society, just to support HN.

Dan concluded: “The fundraiser—that’s where the rubber meets the road. Audience, if you’re feeling convicted, you should. We gain from the teaching, but won’t give. Hebrew Nation needs your help, no matter how little it may be.”
